U.S. U-17 WNT FACES KOREA DPR FOR BERTH TO WORLD CUP QUARTERFINALS:
The U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team faces a crucial Group B finale when it takes on Korea DPR at 8 a.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 29, in Baku, Azerbaijan, at the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Korea DPR and the USA are tied in points with four, but North Korea has a five-goal advantage over the U.S. in the first tie-breaker, goal difference. The U.S. would assure itself of a quarterfinal spot in the tournament with a win, which would also give the USA first place in Group B. Saturday’s match against Korea DPR will be streamed live on ESPN3. Fans can also follow the match on ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker and on Twitter @ussoccer_ynt. The USA is coming off a 6-0 victory against Gambia on Tuesday, Sept. 25. For full tournament results, visit the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup tournament page on ussoccer.com.

USA Advancement Scenarios:
The USA is guaranteed a quarterfinal berth with a victory on Saturday against Korea DPR. The U.S. can also advance with a draw as long as France does not post a substantial victory against Gambia and overtake the USA in goal differential. If the USA and France tie in both points and goal difference through group play, goals scored is the next tiebreaker. If both teams are tied in points, goal differential and goals scored, lots would be drawn to determine which country advances as the second-place team in Group B.

Along with her recent three-goal performance in the Sept. 25 win against Gambia in group play of the U-17 World Cup, Green’s other three hat tricks came in World Cup qualifying: five against the Bahamas (May 3), three against Mexico (May 7) and three against Panama (May 10).
